Set into windswept fenland landscape, the Old Rectory had the benefit of some lovely ancient sequoias but an otherwise empty garden space. Forward-thinking owners knew that they wanted backbone structure and so first phase work was the planting of many incredible large specimen trees. The following spring saw the introduction of a softening palatte of shrub and herbaceous planting, a stunning wildflower meadow with mown pathways as well as a new terrace area.
