These retired clients bravely commissioned a modern garden design to complement their single-storey mono-bloc style woodland house. Priority was given to creating a new curving drive to create useable access as well as giving the house a better aspect and privacy. Builder’s spoil was crafted into a landformed tiered mound and a new curving Ha-Ha opened up the incredible views across the landscape at the back of the house. The gravel courtyard garden provides more intimate space to use. Structural, mono-culture planting choices needed to thrive in partnership with the local wildlife that is welcomed in.
